Job Summary
">We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our team at the Vale of Glamorgan Council. As a key member of our social work team, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families with complex needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in children's lives. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, manage complex cases, and contribute to positive outcomes for children and families.

About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with foster carers, residential settings, and placements to ensure children thrive. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through regular training and development opportunities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognized Degree or Diploma in Social Work (e.g., CQSW).
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families with complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of The Children Act and other child care legislation and standards.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including hybrid working and a commitment to staff wellbeing. You will also have excellent opportunities for career and personal development.
