**About the role** Pay Details**: Grade 7 SCP - 20 - 25 £30, 296 - £33, 945 per annum** **+ enhanced rate for out of hours working

**Hours of Work / Working Pattern**: 37 hours over a day/evening rota.

These roles, require individuals to work flexibly, including out of hours (evening and weekends) on a rota. This includes being available for 2 weekends a month if needed.

**Main Place of Work**: You will have access to office space in Barry and work across the Vale of Glamorgan, and further afield as needed. There is an opportunity to work from home according to the needs of the service.

**Description**:
The primary responsibility of this post is to co-ordinate, oversee and deliver services to children looked after and those on the edge of care. The role will also include providing an emergency response to support children to remain at home or in their current placement when needed. You will be kind, able to see strengths where families are having difficult times, and have an understanding of how trauma impacts children.

You will also be able to provide effective supervision of staff, ensuring that they are supported and delivering an effective service.

You will work independently, and as part of a team, undertaking direct work with children, young people and families to enable them to achieve the outcomes they want to and that meet their needs.

**About you**
You will need:

- 2 years experience of working directly with children, young people and their families / carers.
- Experience of making and sustaining relationships.
- Awareness of the Children Act 1989 and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
- Awareness of safeguarding procedures.
