We are currently looking for a Family Support Worker for a role in Barry. The Family Support Worker will Providing assessment, early intervention and preventative support to children, young people and their families or carers referred to the Project.

Main Duties:

- To provide a consistent and quality service to all service users (children, young people, parents & carers) referred to the Families First FACT Service.
- To work in partnership with service users (families & professionals) both internally and externally.
- To promote and represent positively the work of the FACT Service with all partner agencies.
- To undertake service user assessments including assessments of need and assessments of risk to inform support planning, in line with Service and national standards.
- To facilitate and chair FACT multi agency meetings and reviews to ensure support plans are agreed, implemented and monitored in line with agreed service standards.
- To implement agreed support plans including ongoing assessment, planning, monitoring and reviewing responsibilities in line with service standards.
- To undertake direct work with children, young people and their families and carers in line with the agreed casework planning and under the guidance and supervision of your supervisor.
- To use motivational techniques to encourage families to engage with the support available, address their issues and build on their family relationships.
- To ensure that any safeguarding concerns are identified and escalated in accordance with the Councils safeguarding policies.
