Support Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting a caseload of clients across the area, working autonomously and managing your own schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Working from home, the office, or out in the community, you will work proactively to achieve positive outcomes and goals outlined by individuals, using a creative approach tailored to each person's needs.
- You will have the opportunity to broaden or strengthen your skills in supporting a range of complex needs, including housing crisis, substance misuse, complex mental health, ACEs, and offending behavior.
- Developing or strengthening your understanding of ACEs, you will work with a trauma-informed approach and in a physiologically informed environment.
- Further enhancing your relationship-building and partnership-working skills, you will promote your services and work closely with relevant local agencies, such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions.
- You must be able to engage and build strong relationships with people, possessing a non-judgmental mindset and understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
- A forward-thinking and resilient attitude is essential to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face, as is a strong character that can remain calm and collected in challenging situations.
- Experience in support work or housing is required, with an understanding of housing options, housing law, and basic benefits.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car are also necessary.
