Job Title: Head of Projects- Cloud and Infrastructure

Vertex IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Head of Projects- Cloud and Infrastructure to lead our team of project managers and drive the delivery of high-quality projects within budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management Office (PMO) Leadership: Define and implement PMO methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Team Management: Manage and coach 2-3 project managers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee IT project portfolios to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Project Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance and address issues proactively to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Business Development: Support business development with project estimates and proposals to drive revenue growth.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes and outcomes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in IT project management, preferably in an MSP or IT consultancy.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of experience leading a PMO or project management team.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and Cloud certifications (Azure, 365 Fundamentals).
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Cloud and on-premise infrastructure, excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, customer-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, knowledge of IT cybersecurity, audit, and compliance, and ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
