Vertex IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Projects Director to lead and mentor a team of junior/project managers, ensuring high-quality project delivery within budget and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Project Management Methodologies: Define and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Lead and Mentor Project Managers: Manage and coach 2-3 project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Oversee IT Project Portfolios: Oversee IT project portfolios, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Monitor Project Performance: Monitor project performance, addressing issues proactively to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations.
- Foster Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Support Business Development: Support business development with project estimates and proposals, contributing to the growth of Vertex IT Solutions.
- Continuously Improve Processes: Continuously improve project management processes and outcomes, ensuring best practices are implemented across the organization.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in IT project management, preferably in an MSP or IT consultancy, with 3+ years of experience leading a PMO or project management team.
- Certifications: Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and Cloud certifications (Azure, 365 Fundamentals).
- Skills: Strong understanding of Cloud and on-premise infrastructure, excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, customer-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, knowledge of IT cybersecurity, audit, and compliance, ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
