Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT network to ensure optimal performance, up-to-date security, and reliability. This role will involve working on both infrastructure and security projects, with a focus on network-focused tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including virtual networks, cloud infrastructure, and WAN technologies.
- Develop advanced knowledge and understanding of networking, including TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, VLANs, load balancing, and VPNs.
- Work with Linux and Windows operating systems, with a strong focus on network performance and resolving bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with helpdesk staff to resolve tickets pertinent to the network role.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure & AWS cloud services and architectures.
- Experience with Dell Servers, including iDrac.
- Knowledge of Veeam and Zerto data resiliency platforms.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents escalated by 1st/2nd line support.
- Understanding of ITIL practices.
- Ability to plan and test Pentest remediations and communicate substantial changes that can affect the network/applications to the wider business area owners.
- Ability to update Self Signed/Domain certificates across Network Services/Devices.
