About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services for complex robotics systems in our fulfillment centers. This includes identifying and resolving technical issues, collaborating with development teams to create viable solutions, and engaging with high-severity incidents to minimize business impact.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with experience in software applications, platforms, or cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for complex robotics systems
  • Collaborate with development teams to create viable solutions
  • Engage with high-severity incidents to minimize business impact
  • Use Change Management best practices to create, approve, and implement changes within the Amazon Robotics environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in software applications, platforms, or cloud services
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in English within technical and business settings
Preferred Qualifications

Prior customer-facing roles can be an advantage in this position. Additionally, knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, working with databases, understanding network operations, and reading/writing automation scripts can be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include a performance-related bonus scheme, comprehensive health insurance, and access to training and development programs. The estimated annual salary is around £60,000, based on location and experience.
