Job Title: End User Engineer

We are seeking an experienced End User Engineer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As an End User Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to our internal employees, ensuring they have a seamless and efficient experience with our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve IT support requests via phone, video, email, and in-person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
  • Provide user guidance and training on using software applications and systems
  • Offer technical assistance to non-technical end-users in a clear and user-friendly manner
  • Address user questions and concerns, ensuring a positive customer service experience
  • Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed
  • Assist with software installations, updates, and patches
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and hardware/software inventory through the use of Ivanti ISM
  • Create and update user guides, knowledge base articles, and documentation as necessary
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience working in a similar role
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting experience, particularly focused on laptops
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft 365, with a clear understanding of the steps required to do this
  • Knowledge of providing support on Windows 10 and 11
  • Ability to prioritize with a ticketing-based system (we use Ivanti ISM)
  • Senior stakeholder management experience, including prioritization
  • Capability to troubleshoot meeting room devices quickly and effectively
  • Experience supporting VPNs and antivirus
  • Eligible for UK security clearance
