Aftermarket Service Solutions Manager

Smiths Detection is seeking a highly skilled Aftermarket Product Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our service products and aftermarket solutions.
As a Product Manager - Aftermarket, you will lead the development and launch of ground-breaking services, optimize existing offerings, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to harness your market expertise and data-driven insights to define and refine our service strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining commercial strategy for service products, aligning with services and aftermarket objectives.
- Staying informed about target markets, competitors, and pricing.
- Translating customer feedback into service offering requirements.
- Identifying growth opportunities through partnerships, M&A, new markets, technologies, and service offerings.
- Maintaining scope, features, parameters, and value proposition of service offerings.
- Leading commercial development of new service offerings, ensuring alignment with product lifecycle management.
- Determining pricing strategy, maximizing margin, revenue, and market share.
- Forging partnerships and optimizing route-to-market channels, including digital platforms.
- Driving launch of new service offerings, working closely with marketing and communication teams.
- Monitoring performance of existing offerings and developing plans for optimization.
- Providing inputs to forecasts and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Supporting sales and industry marketing teams, leveraging installed base data and attending customer meetings and events.
We are looking for a candidate with a graduate-level qualification in business or technology, preferably with a master's degree. You will have a demonstrated track record in aftermarket products and service offering design, development, commercialisation, promotion, and marketing from concept to launch in a B2B/B2G setting.
We value candidates with a proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, knowledge of product management, marketing, program management, and project management.
The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with technology industries, long term services, and maintenance solutions for complex engineered products, as well as change management and business improvement skills.
