Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and management of physiotherapy services for individuals with complex needs, diverse presentations, and a range of mental health, learning disabilities, and neurological conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, individualized care that maximizes independence and promotes recovery.
  • Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to staff as delegated by the team lead.
  • Facilitate the delivery of physiotherapy student education within the clinical setting.

Requirements
  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Recognized physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Further relevant post-qualifying training.
  • Proven track record of post-registration clinical experience in learning disability and neurological physiotherapy.
  • Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC, and CSP standards.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to present information written and orally in a clear and logical manner.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Evidence of post-qualification training.
  • Clinical leadership and induction of staff.
  • Experience of providing physiotherapy services in a community setting.
