Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with complex needs, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver individualized care and promote recovery.

Main Duties
  • Assess and manage patients with complex physiotherapy needs, using evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs, working with patients to set and achieve goals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using a range of strategies to support people with complex communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and promote patient independence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and high-quality care.

Person Specification
  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Recognized Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Post-qualification experience in physiotherapy, with a focus on complex care and rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and promoting patient independence.
