About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Funeral Arranger to join our team at the East of England Co-op Funeral Services. As a Funeral Arranger, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our clients and their families during a difficult time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Professional Service: Offer guidance and support to clients on funeral services, pre-payment plans, masonry, and ancillary services.
  • Co-ordinate Funeral Services: Liaise with Funeral Directors, third parties (e.g. Crematorium, Minister), and other stakeholders to ensure funeral services are carried out in accordance with client wishes and instructions.
  • Administrative Tasks: Efficiently complete all required administrative tasks, including financial and statutory procedures.
  • After-Care Services: Provide information about bereavement support groups and other after-care services.
  • Branch Management: Be responsible for the overall standard, service, and compliance of the branch.
  • Community Engagement: Play an active role in the community, developing relationships with key stakeholders and engaging with local causes, projects, and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Professionalism and Empathy: Demonstrate a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients and their families.
  • Administration Experience: Have previous administration experience, preferably in a funeral services or related industry.
  • IT Literacy: Be proficient in using IT systems and software.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess the ability to organize and prioritize own workload effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in work, conduct, and presentation.
  • Lone-Working: Be comfortable working independently.
  • Local Knowledge: Have good knowledge of the local area.
  • Travel: Be flexible to travel to other locations as required.
