About Us


The Rheumatology Department is based in Kitson Hall, working closely with Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Specialist Nurses, Specialist Dietitians, and administration staff. We prioritize caring, commitment, inclusivity, and quality, promoting outside-the-box thinking and embracing innovation and change for improvement.

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide high-quality secretarial, administrative, and clerical support to Consultant Rheumatologists
  • Maintain departmental and Trust standards in line with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure relevant training is completed to use Trust IT computer systems
  • Use Trust IT computer systems to maintain patient records
  • Provide cover for medical secretaries and other members of the secretarial and administration team as required
  • Contribute to the development of policy and processes as required
  • Support continuous quality improvement
  • Support the delivery of agreed service outcomes
  • Order stationery on Unit4


Requirements



  • Good standard of general education, including GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Proven accurate typing
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Proven experience of providing a customer-focused service
  • Proven relevant experience in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently within a team environment

Salary Information


The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
