Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Community Housing Officer to join our team at Teign Housing. This is a part-time, 22.5 hour per week, permanent position.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for helping us deliver cleaner, greener and safer neighbourhoods. You will undertake regular inspections of our estates and actively address any littering, antisocial behaviour or breaches of tenancy conditions. You will also provide community charters and events, assist with viewings, contract signings and move-ins, and resolve any post-handover issues.

You should have sound experience of social housing and a proven ability to build good relationships with diverse customers. A demonstrable flair for meeting stretching targets is essential, as well as a talent for problem-solving and diplomacy.

Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake regular inspections of our estates and address any issues that arise
  • Provide community charters and events to enhance the living environment
  • Assist with viewings, contract signings and move-ins, and resolve any post-handover issues
  • Work closely with residents to understand their needs and concerns
