About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Adult Perinatal Psychiatry Specialist Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases, working closely with adult patients and their families, and liaising with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to adults with mental health needs across Redbridge, Havering, and Barking and Dagenham.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
- Work directly with adult patients and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
Person Specification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
