About the Role

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc. is seeking a talented Process Improvement Lead to join our Global Process Improvement team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive continuous improvement and optimize our manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy overall quality and improvement techniques and concepts to deliver initiatives, with a strong and clear focus on the Voice of the Customer.
  • Manage your assigned project portfolio.
  • Serve as a dynamic change agent and facilitator of global business improvement projects.
  • Deploy strong influencing and refined facilitation skills.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver sustained improvement across critical processes as you support leadership in achieving strategic goals.
  • Work across functional and organizational boundaries to analyze and solve problems.
  • Train and Coach Lean Six Sigma Yellow / Green Belt project teams acting as a cross-functional coach and facilitator.
  • Develop and coach your assigned coaches from our network of Six Sigma coaches as we strive to develop our problem-solving capability across the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Engineering or Business from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years' experience in a Process Improvement position with experience of change management within a structured framework.
  • Experience of project management ideally within a PMO environment utilizing dedicated software such as Smartsheet's or similar.
  • Experience leading projects across various business segments and/or leading a process improvement team.
  • Strong aptitude and skills to collaborate and influence functional leaders to prioritize and execute selected business improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and to facilitate meetings.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; statistically literate and well-equipped with Six Sigma quality concepts and tools.
  • Consideration will be given to experienced Green Belt certified applicants, who if successful would then be sponsored through Black Belt certification.
  • Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.

Desirable

  • Coaching certification.
  • Black Belt certified with supporting project experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DFT or TOC concepts.
