This unique opportunity involves working with disabled children and young people, providing them with inclusive experiences and enhancing their personal development. The role will predominantly be based in Denbighshire.

The Cyfle Service aims to promote inclusion, provide wider opportunities, and enhance personal development for disabled children and young people. As a Leisure and Recreation Coordinator, you will work with specific children on a regular, flexible basis, mainly during school holidays.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Organising children and young people individually, and in groups, to participate in community-based play and leisure activities.
  • Planning, organising, and scheduling Play and Leisure activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our service users.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Knowledge of activities suitable for children and young people, taking into account their age, ability, and individual needs.
  • An understanding of the requirements and challenges faced by disabled children and young people.
  • Experience working directly with children and young people, including those with disabilities.
  • Ability to plan and supervise activities for groups or individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Flexibility to travel within the locality to meet the requirements of the post.
  • A commitment to the concept of inclusion and promoting equality of opportunity.
