About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrotechnical Self-Employed Assessor to join our team in the Bath and Bristol areas. As an Electrotechnical Self-Employed Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting periodic assessments of customers registered under various electrotechnical schemes to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
You will work independently, following instructions and guidance contained in procedural manuals, to assess the work, resources, and technical requirements of customers. Your role will involve conducting assessments of applicants for registration and visiting customers in other geographical areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Conducting daily/weekly programmed visits to assess customers' compliance with competent person scheme rules
- Preparing and completing comprehensive assessment reports with specific attention to detail
- Delivering all assessment documentation on time
- Building relationships with customers while providing an excellent customer service
- Assisting in the training of newly appointed Assessors, as requested
- Complying with the requirements of our Health and Safety Policy
- Attending regular team meetings and training courses
Requirements
- High level of technical competence over a wide range of electrical installations
- Detailed knowledge of BS 7671 and related codes of practice
- Excellent report writing, numeracy, and IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
- Personable and communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships at all levels
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to recognise customers' needs and strive to deliver the best level of customer service
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
- Full driving licence
- Full flexibility and the ability to work out of area when needed
