**What you'll do**:
Reporting to the Lead Planner, you will join a growing team of planners helping to deliver a variety of supply & waste water projects in the Treatment or Networks delivery teams. Day to day you will work directly with Project Managers, designers & support teams as well as liaising with internal & external construction teams.
The planning role allows you to see projects through from concept to completion. You will be an integral part of Wessex Water's programme delivery & project management. You will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining multiple project programmes throughout the project lifecycle i.e., design, construction, commissioning and handover.
You will assist Project Managers by ensuring programme activities are being progressed as planned and proactively identify any risks/issues that may affect delivery or cause delays to projects. You will also prepare various reports and lookaheads across a programme of work to help prioritise workload.
We offer a mix of home/office/site based working and the role entails working throughout the Wessex Water region.
**What you'll need**:
As an experienced and self-reliant Planner, you'll have a fluent understanding project management & delivery. Ideally, you will have knowledge of water supply, wastewater treatment, civils and mechanical & electrical activities. You'll be proficient with analysing programme data and managing a workload of multiple projects.
To be able to really kick on and make your mark, it is essential that you have experience of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, Excel and Word. Having knowledge of NEC and NEC3 contracts is also advantageous. Preferably you will hold a qualification in a civil or mechanical engineering discipline.
You will be flexible in your approach and will be encouraged to have a voice and influence change, contributing to the successful delivery of services to Wessex Water. This is a varied role and you will deal with a range of teams across the business.
Due to the remote nature of the role, you will be required to hold a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Expenses will be reimbursed.
