Community Living Specialist

About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Community Living Specialist to join our team at Strode Park Foundation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our Supported Living Service, which includes seven properties and is home to a number of adults with physical and learning disabilities.
You will also be responsible for managing our day opportunities that support both individuals above and those from the community to come together and do a range of activities throughout the week.
The salary for this role is £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience, and includes benefits such as competitive rates of pay, meals provided, and paid Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

About the Job:
- To ensure the people in your care are as safe and well cared for as possible, and that their rights and choices are promoted and prioritised.
- To operate within financial parameters that are set annually.
- To lead and manage all aspects of the staff team, so staff are clear on their responsibilities and are motivated to carry out their roles safely and effectively.
- To manage LCS so it operates safely and smoothly in terms of care quality, contractual and financial obligations, and also maintains a positive reputation.
Essential Skills:
- Holds NVQ Level 5 or equivalent or higher, or willing to work towards such a qualification.
- Have a good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a Registered Manager and the law relating to care services.
- Be caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
- Have experience of medication management.
- Have understanding of MCA, DoLS and safeguarding processes.
