About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Care Specialist at Strode Park House in Herne, Kent. As a Lead Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our residents with physical disabilities and complex needs.

Key responsibilities include supervising the care team, supporting with the administration of medication, maintaining and completing clear and comprehensive records, and providing emotional support to residents. You will also be responsible for guiding, supporting, and training new care staff.

As a Strode Park Foundation colleague, you will receive comprehensive support, training, and development opportunities to enhance your skills and career progression.

Strode Park House is a residential home registered for 55 beds, offering a relaxed homely environment for 40 permanent residents and up to 15 guests who come on a short-term basis for neuro-rehabilitation and respite care.

Shift times at Strode Park House are flexible, with opportunities for early, late, and night shifts. We value reliable and flexible staff and are proud to be a 'Flex from First' employer.

Essential Skills

Our ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or a willingness to work towards this within 12 months of being in post. Direct or indirect experience of disability or supporting those with disabilities is also essential.

Basic computer skills, flexibility, and the ability to meet the working pattern demanded by this role are also required. Experience with managing and administering medications, or a willingness to learn this skill, is highly desirable.
