We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-supported role with a cohesive team of professionals.
Main duties and responsibilities
The postholder will be responsible for providing medical input to patients under the care of the Community Mental Health Team, attending CPAs for enhanced patients, and providing urgent assessment/advice as required.
They will also lead regularly on screening of new referrals to the team, actively participate in service/team evaluation, and plan future service developments.
Additionally, the postholder will manage, appraise, and give professional supervision to junior medical staff, participate in service and business planning activities, and join the Consultant on-call rota.

What we're looking for
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with excellent clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in mental health. The ideal candidate will be able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty, make decisions based on evidence and experience, and meet duties under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
They will also be able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training, work in and lead a team, and demonstrate commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working.
