About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner Nurse/ODP to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support and teaching to relevant personnel within the specialist area.
  • Offer technical and clinical advice to colleagues in the peri-operative setting.
  • Provide information and support to patients undergoing anaesthesia and surgery.
  • Contribute to the development of safe and high-quality specialist patient care, working within the guidelines of the Trust's Nursing and Midwifery Strategy.
  • Complete an orientation programme to the clinical area and achieve perioperative competencies.

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in an operating theatre.
  • NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Theatre/Recovery/HDU qualification (desirable).
  • Anaesthetic Qualification (desirable).
