About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner Nurse/ODP to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide clinical support and education to our staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to theatre staff, including training and education on best practices and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust guidelines and national legislation.
  • Collaborate with the team leader to ensure the safe and effective management of the perioperative area, including the control and administration of drugs.
  • Contribute to the development of the perioperative team, including mentoring and coaching staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff experience.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

Experience of working in an operating theatre environment.NMC/HCPC registration.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of staff and patients.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.Knowledge of clinical policies and procedures, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and education.What We Offer
