**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Theatre Recovery Nurse/ODP to join our team at 279 University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatres.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide information and support to patients undergoing anaesthesia and surgery, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the perioperative process.
  • Assist in the development of safe and high-quality specialist patient care, working within the guidelines of our Trust's Nursing and Midwifery Strategy.
  • Ensure the safe control, custody, and administration of all drugs within the perioperative area, in accordance with Trust policies and national legislation.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to ensure that clinical and nursing practices accurately reflect the departmental philosophy.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions as required, ensuring self and others are up-to-date with the latest knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrate relevant IT and keyboard skills for electronic data collection and communication.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for staff, patients, and visitors, in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
