Health Care Assistant Special School Nursing Specialist

The Ealing Community Children's nursing team is seeking a Health Care Assistant to join their Special School Nursing Team. As a HCA, you will be part of a collaborative effort with experienced nurses and HCAs providing high-quality healthcare to children and young people with complex health needs in special schools across Ealing.
You will work closely with the Special School Nurse and other professionals to deliver delegated care plans, supporting pupils with enteral feeding, stoma care, tracheostomy care, and emergency situations related to diabetes/epilepsy/anaphylaxis/asthma. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
A competitive salary of £29,857 per annum (pro rata) awaits successful candidates. If you have a Level 2 qualification in health, education, or child care and previous experience working with children with medical and additional needs, we encourage you to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining a high standard of healthcare as planned and directed by registered nursing staff.
- Assisting and supporting the Special School Nurse in the day-to-day care of children and families on the caseload.
- Contribution to the assessment of the child's needs and recognition of factors affecting their health and social well-being.
