We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Special School Nursing Team as a Health Care Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced nurses and HCAs to provide high-quality healthcare to children and young people with complex health needs in special schools across Ealing.

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 qualification in health, education, or child care and have previous experience working with children with medical and additional needs. They will also have basic knowledge of child development, awareness of Safeguarding, and excellent communication skills.

A key aspect of this role is delivering delegated care plans, supporting pupils with enteral feeding, stoma care, tracheostomy care, and emergency situations related to diabetes/epilepsy/anaphylaxis/asthma. Full training will be provided to ensure the candidate's success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining a high standard of healthcare as planned and directed by registered nursing staff.
  • Supporting the Special School Nurse in the day-to-day care of children and families on the caseload.
