Special Needs Support Professional

We are currently seeking a part-time teaching assistant to support a special needs school in Stroud on a flexible basis. This can either be working 2 or 3 days per week. The school caters to ages from 5 to 16 and will have needs such as severe autism and complex needs.
The successful candidate will work alongside the teaching staff to provide individualized support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing individualized support to students with severe autism and complex needs.
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
- Helping students with daily living skills and personal care.
- Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working with children with special needs, either from a previous school job or supporting adults with special needs in a care role. You must also be able to follow notes and instructions laid out in the students' education healthcare plan, and be flexible to the needs of the school and having a hands-on/can-do attitude.
Working Arrangements:
This is a part-time position, working between Monday to Friday, term time only. The working hours are 8:30-3:30. To work with children, you will need to have an enhanced DBS on the update service as part of your application. We offer competitive pay rates and a brilliant platform to manage your work.
Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £12,000 - £15,000 per annum, depending on experience.
