Teaching Support Professional for Children with Special Needs Job Summary

Philosophy Education is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Support Professional for Children with Special Needs to join our team. The successful candidate will provide individualized support to a child with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with development and communication needs in the nursery class, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assist the child during all aspects of attending school, including personal care, outdoor play, and lunchtime activities.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement effective support strategies, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs or in a care role.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £27,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
  • A part-time position with flexible working hours, Monday to Friday, 10am - 2pm.
