National Account Development Manager

VanRath is assisting a leading chilled food organisation in finding a National Account Manager to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute customer account plans to achieve sales, margin, and category growth targets.
- Negotiate annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) and Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with key customers.
- Provide solutions based on customer needs, aligned with the organisation's internal objectives.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships at all levels.
- Contribute to forecast planning and report on sales, profitability, and account initiatives.
- Manage costs associated with key accounts and limited edition cycles.
- Gather and analyse category insights through customer and trade contacts.
- Provide product guidance, negotiate pricing, and delivery requirements with customers.
- Assist with tender opportunities and prepare tender responses.
- Liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
- Contribute to new product development, customer care, and quality through customer feedback.
- Liaise with internal teams on orders, production, quality control, and customer factory visits.
- Represent the organisation at relevant shows and exhibitions.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5 years of commercial sales experience in the food sector, preferably in FMCG (key or national accounts).
- Experience in preparing customer proposals (JBPs/LTAs).
- Previous experience in chilled foods.
- Facilitating customer processes at key/national account level.
- Understanding of forecasting, route to market, and sales training.
- Experience managing retailer accounts.
Salary: £55,000 - £62,500 + company vehicle, bonus, benefits package.
