Job Description

VANRATH is seeking a highly skilled National Account Manager to join their team. As a key member of the commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute customer account plans to drive overall company strategic growth.
  • Develop and negotiate annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) and Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with key customers.
  • Provide solutions based on customer needs, aligned with internal business objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships at all levels.
  • Contribute to forecast planning, ensuring alignment with the growth plan.
  • Report on sales, profitability, and account initiatives to grow sales in key accounts.
  • Manage costs associated with doing business with each key account.
  • Effectively manage limited edition cycles with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyse category insights through consultation with customers and key trade contacts.
  • Provide product guidance, negotiate pricing and delivery requirements with customers.
  • Assist with tender opportunities and preparation of tender responses as required.
  • Liaise with current customers to ensure satisfaction with company products and services.
  • Contribute to new product development, customer care, and quality through presentation of customer feedback.
  • Liaise with internal teams regarding orders, production scheduling, new product development, quality control, and order delivery.
  • Represent the company at relevant shows and exhibitions, ensuring high visibility and adequate staffing.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of commercial sales experience in the food sector within FMCG (key or national accounts).
  • Experience in preparing customer proposals (JBPs/LTAs).
  • Previous experience in chilled foods.
  • Facilitating customer processes at key/national account level.
  • Understanding of forecasting, route to market, and sales training.
  • Experience managing retailer accounts.
