Job Title: Head of Climate Action Partnerships

We are seeking an experienced Research Partnership Senior Manager to support and mobilize the private sector in taking the lead on climate action by setting science-based emissions reduction targets.

About the Role:
  • Act as a liaison between the SBTi Research Team and experts in research fields and topics relevant to the SBTi.
  • Lead a small team of research fellows, supervising the delivery of research outputs on time and to an esteemed level of quality.
  • Closely monitor external research projects to ensure they stay aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including academics, researchers, and industry experts.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in natural or physical sciences, sustainability, or a relevant field.
  • 7 years of experience working in academia or research institutions as a researcher and project coordinator.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships across disciplinary lines.
  • Strong demonstrated scientific writing abilities, including experience as lead author and co-author of peer-reviewed research publications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD or similar advanced degree in geography, earth/environmental science, sustainability, or a relevant field.
  • Experience supervising a research group or small team.
  • Extensive network with academia in relevant areas.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience level. Climate17 offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
