About Edinburgh World Heritage

We are a charity dedicated to preserving and promoting the World Heritage status of Edinburgh. Our mission is to connect people with their heritage, working in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council.

We strive to ensure that our World Heritage status benefits everyone, from those who live and work in the city to visitors. To achieve this, we engage in active conservation of historic buildings, conservation and creative interpretation of public spaces, and develop solutions through our climate emergency programme.

We aim for inclusivity, richness of experience, and diversity on our Board and workforce, reflecting the world we live and work in.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our strategic direction and stewardship of public and charitably-given funds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial stability of EWH, ensuring proper accounting records and effective administration.

We are looking for new Board trustees with drive and enthusiasm, passionate about Edinburgh and its UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience). Benefits include reasonable out-of-pocket expenses reimbursement and induction and training support.
