About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team in Richmond. As a member of our Supported Living Service, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Description

As a Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our service users, enabling them to maintain their independence and participate fully in community life. This will include:

  • Personalised Support: Developing and implementing personalized care plans that cater to each individual's unique needs and goals.
  • Community Inclusion: Supporting service users to access local amenities, engage in leisure activities, and build relationships within their communities.
  • Skill Development: Encouraging and supporting individuals to develop new skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and housekeeping.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Care Experience: A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a care or support setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Compassion and Empathy: A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and support, with a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with learning disabilities.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
