Job Summary:

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatal Consultant to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will work closely with existing consultants to deliver a level 2 neonatal service at University Hospital Lewisham.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist care for children on the UHL site in neonatal paediatrics.
  • Share responsibility for 24-hour, 7-day cover for the local neonatal unit on a rota basis.
  • Manage patients on the local neonatal unit, liaising with nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deal with safeguarding issues as required and implement audit and research findings in clinical practice.
