Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Nurse to lead our expert team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at King's College Hospital.

This is a dynamic and highly reputable multidisciplinary team, and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate both neonatal and mentorship qualifications, with previous experience at Band 6.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance your leadership and management skills through individualized professional leadership and clinical development, as well as contribute to the development of clinical policies and protocols relevant to the area.

You will work closely with senior nurses within the care group to ensure that practice is evidence-based and that high standards of nursing care are maintained.

The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, be able to critically analyze situations, and demonstrate continuing professional development and commitment to the professional development of others.

Please note that you must have appropriate UK professional registration and be willing to undergo Disclosure checks.

Main Responsibilities
  • To act as a professional role model and leader within the team
  • To coordinate the nursing team, ensuring effective management and organization of the clinical area
  • To assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care, ensuring a high standard of nursing care
  • To communicate effectively with patients, parents/carers, and healthcare personnel, promoting a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to care
About the Role

This is a full-time position, and you will be expected to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

The salary for this position is £54,320 - £60,981 per annum, including Health Care Assistant (HCA) payments.

You will be working in a state-of-the-art facility, with a major planned redesign and refurbishment of the unit underway.
