About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a key member of our General Medicine Consultant team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care to patients within the trust.

Main Responsibilities

As a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and expertise in the care of elderly patients
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based care pathways and protocols
  • Supervising and supporting junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participating in departmental and trust-wide governance and audit activities
  • Contributing to the development of the service and ensuring active participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent experience
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council
  • On the specialist register for geriatric medicine (via CCT or CESR)
