NHS Consultant in Acute Medicine

About the Role
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NHS Consultant in Acute Medicine to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Acute Medicine service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment and management of acute medical patients
- Stabilize and manage patients admitted with medical emergencies
- Carry out post-take ward rounds and maintain effective communication with the on-call team
- Develop emergency services and work with other departments to improve patient care
- Participate in the weekend General Medical on-call rota and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines
Organizational Responsibilities
- Teach and train junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
- Act as clinical/educational supervisor to locally employed doctors and doctors in training programs
- Participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit
- Provide leadership and support for the effective development of the service
- Ensure active participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCP Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent experience
- Full Registration and a license to practice with the General Medical Council
- Evidence of specific and broad training in Acute medicine and/or General medicine
