About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Registrar to join our busy Registrar team in the national Collections Management and Information department. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality support to our properties, working on collections acquisitions and loans management, with opportunities to develop your skills in other Registrar tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent Registrar support to our properties, ensuring accurate recording of collections information in our database.
- Manage a large number of ongoing projects, working flexibly in evolving situations.
- Deliver training to Trust teams on collections management procedures and provide timely advice as needed.
- Undertake key administrative tasks, including managing inboxes, responding to emails, taking meeting minutes, and writing reports.
Requirements
- Great people and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to build relationships and liaise with colleagues across the Trust and externally.
- Experience of using collections management systems.
- Awareness of collections management procedures, Spectrum 5.1, and UK Museum Accreditation standards.
- Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail and able to maintain confidentiality.
