The estimated annual salary for this role is £90,000-£120,000, reflecting the expertise and qualifications required to excel in this position.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Neurology with a strong academic background to lead the development of a Medical Workforce Strategy in Neurology. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of School to create and implement a comprehensive strategy that supports the recruitment and retention of Neurology Trainees.

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to enhance the recruitment and retention of Neurology Trainees.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School to ensure effective systems for Assessment, Rotational Management, Trainee Supervision & Support.
  • Promote or lead work programs on behalf of the School of Neurology.

This is a part-time position requiring < 0.5 full-time equivalent (FTE) working hours, offering flexibility and autonomy to manage your workload effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Consultant in Neurology on the Specialist Register.
  • Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, or Master's degree in Medical Education.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish academic credibility quickly.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of workforce transformation and have experience in organizing and delivering education programs. They should also be trained in recruitment, selection, and Equality and Diversity within the last three years.
