About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Urology Training Programme Director - Medical Education Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Consultant in Urology with a passion for medical education to lead on the development of our recruitment and retention strategy and contribute to supporting our operational programme.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of School of Surgery to develop and implement a comprehensive medical workforce strategy, focusing on the recruitment and retention of Urology trainees within regional education programs.
  • Support the Head of School to ensure effective systems for assessment, rotational management, trainee supervision, and support, as well as other functions within the school.
  • Create and promote shared learning opportunities to enhance effective inter-professional working across the school.
Person Specification
  • Consultant in Urology on the Specialist Register.
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
  • Currently working as a Consultant in the NHS in the North West of England.
  • Education Qualification such as Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters in Medical Education.

  • A strong sense of vision and ability to innovate.

Competitive Salary

£80,000 - £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
