Job Title: Lighting Specification Sales Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lighting Specification Sales Engineer to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our range of architectural indoor and outdoor lighting solutions to electrical engineers, architects, consulting engineers, A&D, lighting designers, M&E consultants, interior designers, and landscape designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field sales role, promoting a range of architectural indoor and outdoor lighting solutions
  • Specification sales led role, winning projects and influencing within electrical engineers, architects, consulting engineers, A&D, lighting designers, M&E consultants, interior designers, and landscape designers
  • Working within a London-centric team of 7 field sales professionals
  • Following up on leads via Barber ABI as well as managing projects
  • Inheriting circa 600 clients with a view to focusing on the top 50
  • Project sizes up to £1m
  • Nominal £500,000 target year one (whilst building up pipeline) on invoiced sales
  • 95% specification sales role targeting Architects, Consultants, M&E Consultants, Consulting Engineers, and Lighting Designers
  • Managing a CRM database of contacts but most business/projects will be new
  • Targeting prestigious commercial projects and also high street retailers

Requirements:

  • Ideally working for an architectural lighting competitor
  • Open to any electrical specification sales experience, product training will be provided
  • Technically minded
  • Contacts within interior designers, electrical engineers, M&E consultants may be advantageous
  • Daily access to London
  • Proactive approach
  • Hard working, tenacious with good business acumen
