Job Summary:

The Sales Leadership Director is responsible for driving revenue growth, cost management, and overall business sustainability through strategic sales leadership. This role involves working closely with executive team members to develop new business opportunities, implement programmatic initiatives, and ensure the achievement of financial objectives across the company's hotel portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and Implements Comprehensive Sales Strategies: The Sales Leadership Director develops and implements comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet financial objectives.
  2. Leads the Sales Team: Oversees the sales team, providing leadership, direction, and performance management to ensure achievement of sales targets.
  3. Collaborates with Executive Team: Collaborates with the executive team to identify new business opportunities and strengthen the company's market presence.
  4. Analyzes Sales Performance Data: Analyzes sales performance data, forecasts trends, and adjusts strategies to optimize results.
  5. Cost Management and Business Sustainability: Leads initiatives for cost management and business sustainability within the sales department.
  6. Establishes Relationships: Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure long-term business success.
  7. Aligns Sales Activities: Ensures alignment of sales activities with company-wide business goals and objectives.
  8. Drives Innovation: Drives innovation within the sales function to capitalize on emerging market trends and customer needs.
  9. Reports to Senior Leadership: Prepares and presents regular reports to senior leadership on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
  10. Manages Budget and Resources: Manages budget and resource allocation for the sales department to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Sales Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing sales teams, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Market Understanding: Strong understanding of market trends, customer dynamics, and competitive strategies in the hospitality industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation within a sales function.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze sales data and market conditions to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • C-Level Interaction: Experience working with C-Level executives and presenting strategic recommendations.
  • CRM and Analytics: Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and MS Office Suite.

Work Environment:

  • Travel Requirements: Requires occasional travel to meet with clients, attend conferences, and support company sales efforts.
  • Frequent Interactions: Frequently interacts with senior leadership, sales teams, and key stakeholders in person and virtually.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work beyond regular business hours as needed to accommodate business and client demands.
