About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Valuation Analyst to join our Data Centre Valuation & Advisory team at Knight Frank. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing valuation advice to a wide range of data centre operators, banks, private equity firms, and institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valuation of data centre assets across EMEA, including operational assets, leased data centres, development sites, and fund valuations.
  • Performing DCF analysis, especially when approaching operational assets and development opportunities, and training in standard valuation approaches using Argus Enterprise and Argus Developer.
  • Extracting relevant data from client balance sheets, profit and loss statements, construction contracts, power agreements, and legal due diligence documents to influence the use of variables in cash flow analysis.
  • Providing analytical support and developing methodology under the guidance of project leaders.
  • Reviewing client and stakeholder cash flows as part of the due diligence process and informing valuations.
  • Building and owning the Excel DCFP model to provide analysis and identification of key metrics.

Requirements:

  • Excellent numerical and modelling skills, with the ability to demonstrate a level of competency when creating or amending discounted cash flows.
  • Experience in property valuation or financial analytics.
  • Excellent software skills and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including cash flow modelling experience, and knowledge of Argus Enterprise.
  • Newly qualified surveyors or analysts will be considered, but will need to demonstrate a keenness to learn the drivers behind data centre valuation.
