About the Company

Harcourt Matthews is a prominent UK specialist in Business Services and Investment Partnerships. This rapidly growing organization is dedicated to delivering projects and services across a diverse array of Public Private Partnership investments. In response to ongoing growth and the evolution of our investment portfolio, we are excited to announce a newly established position for an Investment Valuation Analyst. We seek a 2:1/1st class graduate with 1-3 years of relevant analytical experience and proficient Excel modeling skills. This role will involve providing analytical support from both project and portfolio perspectives.

Key Responsibilities of the Investment Valuation Analyst


• Conduct quarterly updates of project and fund models, including the production of discounted cash flow valuations and Internal Rates of Return (IRRs).


• Review modeling input assumptions and present recommendations for necessary adjustments.


• Lead the development of valuation reporting packs for relevant funds.


• Research political and economic factors impacting the portfolio, while reviewing and consolidating research conducted by the broader team.


• Assist with investor, debt, and regulatory reporting obligations.


• Support the external audit of individual funds and liaise with independent valuation advisors.


• Collaborate with the asset management team to identify and model value enhancement opportunities.


• Work alongside fund managers to assist with dividend cover analysis and other fund management activities.


• Monitor announcements from peer-listed funds and summarize key findings for the team.


• Present quarterly valuation results to senior stakeholders within the organization.


• Review analyses conducted by other team members.

Skills & Attributes of the Investment Valuation Analyst


• University graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree from a reputable institution.


• 2-4 years of post-university experience in a relevant role, particularly within the renewable energy sector.


• Strong financial modeling expertise, enabling the understanding, review, evaluation, and management of financial models.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical financial information clearly and concisely.


• A collaborative team player who values building strong connections across various teams.


• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.


• Proficient report writing skills, capable of producing clear and concise documents for both internal and external purposes.


• Keen attention to detail.
