The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Data Centre Surveyor/Analyst to join our dynamic Valuation & Advisory team. This role offers the chance to contribute to the valuation of data centre assets across EMEA, working with a diverse range of clients including operators, banks, private equity firms, and institutional investors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct valuations of data centre properties throughout EMEA, encompassing operational facilities, leased data centres, development sites, and fund valuations.
  • Utilize discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis as a primary valuation method, particularly for operational assets and development opportunities. You will also receive training in traditional valuation approaches using Argus Enterprise and Argus Developer.
  • Extract crucial financial data from client documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, construction contracts, power agreements, and legal due diligence reports to inform your cash flow analysis.
  • Collaborate with project leaders who will provide guidance and mentorship while you contribute analytical support and refine your valuation methodologies.
  • Review client and stakeholder cash flows as part of the due diligence process to enhance our valuation insights.
  • Develop and maintain Excel DCFP models to facilitate analysis and identify key performance indicators.
  • Explore opportunities to expand your role into client management, based on your interests and preferences.

Your Qualifications

  • Demonstrate exceptional numerical and modelling skills, with a proven ability to create or modify discounted cash flow models.
  • Possess experience in either property valuation or financial analytics.
  • Exhibit strong software proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel, including experience with cash flow modelling. Familiarity with Argus Enterprise is beneficial.
  • Newly qualified surveyors or analysts will be considered if they demonstrate a keen interest in understanding the drivers behind data centre valuations.
