About the Role

At Wayve, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team and drive the development of advanced automotive software. As a key member of our onboard Software Platform team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software architectures that integrate our machine learning-based autonomous driving solution into automotive L2-L3 system applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical programs and ensure timely delivery by effectively managing requirements, technical risks, development strategies, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Design and develop software architecture to integrate our machine learning-based AD solution into an automotive L2-L3 system application.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and refine the software architecture.
  • Collaborate with safety and functional safety teams to ensure the software architecture aligns with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
  • Maintain a robust, compliant, and scalable code base for embedded systems.
  • Deliver and maintain real-time Linux-based and QNX-based applications for a fleet of embedded devices on automobiles.
  • Develop and implement fault-tolerant software solutions with comprehensive system diagnostics.
  • Provide mentorship to engineers and lead forums to promote a culture of engineering excellence and compliance.

About You

We are looking for a strong technical leader with extensive experience in developing and deploying safety-critical automotive embedded software in C++ for automotive products. You should have a proven track record of leading large technical programs and teams, as well as expertise in ASPICE-compliant SDLC processes and AUTOSAR architecture.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and deploying safety-critical automotive embedded software in C++ for automotive products.
  • Deep understanding and experience with ASPICE-compliant SDLC processes.
  • Expertise in creating embedded software using the AUTOSAR architecture.
  • Strong leadership qualities and excellent ability to collaborate across divisions and engage stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to a broad audience.

Benefits and Remuneration

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a hybrid working policy and opportunities for professional growth and development.
