School Cover Manager Job Description

Aspire People is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Cover Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless cover arrangements for absent staff, managing daily phone calls, and coordinating with HR and Heads of Faculty to arrange short-term cover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate daily cover for absent staff
  • Manage daily phone calls and notifications from staff
  • Liaise with HR and Heads of Faculty to arrange short-term cover
  • Coordinate with supply agencies to book cover staff and achieve best value
  • Produce daily cover lists and maintain school diaries
  • Meet and induct supply staff, process timesheets, and agency invoices
  • Record costings of long- and short-term supply staff
  • Support with cover of lunchtime and break time duties
  • Support recruitment of Cover Supervisors and build a strong team
  • Provide training and support in Cover supervision
Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience in education or a related field
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
