Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join our client, a well-established hedge fund based in the UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on all aspects of the business, including compliance, risk management, and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of the business, including compliance, risk management, and regulatory matters.
  • Develop and implement effective compliance programs to ensure the company's adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensure the company's continued growth and success.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the hedge fund industry and provide guidance on how to comply with these changes.
  • Work closely with the compliance team to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 8-10 years of PQE experience.
  • Strong understanding of the hedge fund market, particularly in fixed income products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
